Contentment is a private, national golf retreat situated on 900 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Traphill, North Carolina. Under the direction of architect Lester George, the golf course will feature a number of design elements representative of the work of Seth Raynor and C.B. Macdonald. The golf-centric property will feature the championship golf course and practice facilities, and will be devoid of homes to preserve the rural, low-impact character of the property. While official groundbreaking took place in October of 2023, the project is slated to be completed in September of 2025. Construction and grow-in phases of the project will be ongoing well into next summer.
