As a Golf Course Equipment Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of all golf course equipment to support the daily maintenance and upkeep of the course. Your responsibilities will include inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of equipment used on the golf course, such as mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles. You will need to possess a strong understanding of engine mechanics, hydraulic systems, and electrical components to effectively troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, blade sharpening, and belt replacements, to keep the equipment in optimal working condition.
In this role, attention to detail is crucial to identify potential problems before they escalate, ensuring that equipment downtime is minimized. You will work closely with the golf course superintendent and other team members to prioritize repairs based on operational needs. The ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently will be key to succeeding in this role.
Job duties may also involve sourcing and ordering replacement parts, maintaining accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities, and adhering to safety protocols and regulations while performing equipment repairs. High school diploma or equivalent
Certification or training in equipment mechanics preferred
Experience in repairing and maintaining golf course equipment
Strong knowledge of engine mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
