The Glenbrook Club is currently seeking candidates for seasonal Greenskeeper positions with part-time to full-time hours available. Greenskeepers at The Glenbrook Club are responsible for performing golf course maintenance including mowing, watering, landscaping, tree/shrub care, raking/blowing leaves, irrigation repair, sodding, trenching, aerification, equipment maintenance, and other appropriate tasks assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent.
The Glenbrook Club is a private club located on Lake Tahoe’s beautiful east shore in Glenbrook, Nevada. Club members and their guests enjoy a unique nine-hole golf course, Golf Shop and Clubhouse. The Glenbrook Club was established in 1926 as the first golf course in Nevada and has bene private since 1998. The course offers both beauty & challenge and has been listed by Golf Digest as one of the world’s most enjoyable nine-hole courses. Rounds producing the best score require accurate shot making, as golf great Ben Hogan noted while playing his 1948 exhibition on our course. In total, five Masters Champions have graced Glenbrook’s fairways through the years.
Position Requirements • Three months of related work experience in golf course maintenance, groundskeeping, and/or landscaping. • Possession of a valid driver’s license. • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. • Frequently exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. • Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position. • Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling. • May need to use some protective equipment such as a respirator, gloves, earplugs, eye guards/visors, boots, and hats. • This position may require the working of early morning hours, weekends, and holidays.
