MacDonald Golf Course is a mature tree lined with rolling terrain course with ten water features that come into play. It originally opened in 1913 as the Wichita Country Club and has been owned and operated by the City of Wichita Golf Division since 1951.
This spring the course will implement a Master Bunker Plan with the elimination of 29 bunkers and the remaining 31 rebuilt using the Better Billy Bunker System. November 2025 will see the installation of a new irrigation system. The Pump Station was replaced in 2023.
