Midland Country Club employs two, full time year round, Assistant Golf Course Superintendents to assist in the maintenance of Midland Country Club Property. This opening is to fill one of those positions. The chosen candidate will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and will be co-responsible for all aspects of day to day operations on MCC property. Typical duties include (but are not limited to): daily course set-up, applications of pesticide and fertilizer, record keeping, irrigation repair and maintenance (toro heads, toro lynx central), drainage installation and repair, water management, staff training, staff supervision, safety program implementation, developing and assigning staff schedules and other typical duties required in maintaining MCC property.
2 year certificate or 4 year turf degree preferred, Michigan Commercial applicators license required or obtained within 60 days of employment. Valid Michigan driver’s license required. This position requires bending and lifting weight up to 50lbs. Candidate must maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment. Candidate must be trustworthy, reliable, motivated and have a strong work ethic.
Midland Country Club was founded in 1928 and remains a solid and active club. Midland Country Club hosts The Dow Championship, an annual LPGA event held in late June. Recent renovations have paved the road for Midland Country Club to be the Club of the Future.
