Harbor Shores is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to play a vital role within the course management team. As an integral member of the team, the Assistant Superintendent will be involved in overseeing various upcoming projects, to help expand and enhance the property at Harbor Shores. Responsibilities of the Assistant Superintendent will include assisting with day-to-day operations, ensuring the course meets the highest standards, managing staff, and collaborating closely with the Superintendent, Assistant, and Equipment Manager. The Assistant Superintendent will be exposed to all aspects of golf course maintenance including but not limited to; chemical and fertilizer applications, budget prep, building the annual agronomy plan, monitor and set up of daily irrigation, coordination with contractors, and leading and managing staff with an emphasis on the particular areas you feel will take you to the next level within the industry. The Golf Club at Harbor Shores is an 18 Hole Jack Nicklaus Signature design golf course located along the shores of Lake Michigan. The golf course is part of a 530 acre beach and golf resort that spans parts of Benton Harbor and St. Joseph, MI. The par 71 golf course opened 18 holes of play in July 2010. The Golf Club at Harbor Shores has hosted the 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2022, and 2024 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championships. Construction is planned to start in early May on the new Wee Course, a short 9 hole pitch and putt with a 14,000 sq.ft. putting course designed by Colin Montgromerie.
