The Assistant Superintendent at New Albany Country Club will assist the Golf Course Superintendent in overseeing all aspects of golf course maintenance and agronomic practices. This includes ensuring excellent playing conditions, managing personnel, and coordinating resources effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising all golf course maintenance activities.
Train, schedule, and manage the maintenance team, ensuring efficient operation.
Assist with the irrigation systems, pesticide applications, and water management.
Conduct routine inspections of the golf course to maintain optimal turf health.
Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations related to environmental and safety standards.
Support the superintendent in budgeting, purchasing, and record-keeping.

Qualifications:
Education: Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience, with prior supervisory responsibilities,
Knowledge of modern turfgrass management techniques, irrigation systems, and pest control.
Valid pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain within 90 days.
Excellent leadership, problem solving, and communication skills.
