Oakwood Country Club is hiring for an equipment manager for the golf course maintenance department. The equipment manager must have a great attitude and strong work ethic. In this role, you will be responsible for the shop condition (cleanliness, organization, and functionality), safe mechanical condition of all mowers, utility vehicles, and mechanical equipment. The Equipment Manager will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent/ Assistant Superintendents to plan and coordinate repairs, to ensure equipment is available for daily use on the golf course.
Supervises and oversees the maintenance of safe, reliably performing vehicles and equipment by diagnosing problems, performing preventative maintenance, coordinating flow of work and analyzes priorities for equipment needs.
Work includes, but is not limited to, gasoline, diesel and battery powered engines, hydraulic systems, tune-ups, ignitions, carburetor, power equipment, electrical systems, brakes, etc.
Maintains sharp cutting units with reels, spin grinding, relief grinding and back lapping.
Lead the off-season maintenance on all equipment.
Ensures staff are qualified, identify and deliver training.
Prepare and maintains accurate records of maintenance, parts usage, labor, and down time etc.
Purchase and monitors stock
Provides cosmetically clean and aesthetically pleasing vehicles and equipment
Perform bodywork, fabricating, painting, steam cleaning, washing and waxing.
