This is an excellent opportunity for people forging their way in the golf maintenance arena to contribute in a meaningful way and learn the some of the newest turf trends today alongside historically proven staples in the golf construction/maintenance realm. It is also a chance to glean industry tips, tricks, and beliefs from Quent Baria CGCS, a proud VT Agronomy Alumnus and life-long golf industry maintenance professional. You'll also get to work alongside world renowned shaper, Mark Meisel, who worked 25 years for Pete Dye and has built over 40 golf courses in his storied career.
Come join our team. Housing will be provided for the top candidates. As many as 4 positions in this role are to be filled starting in April and running through the summer months. Continued employment will be considered for those who are finishing the educational requirements. Golf course and practical work experience are preferred. A good attitude and strong work ethic is mandatory. Ability to perform manual labor and physically exerting tasks is also required.
About BCC Golf:
BCC Golf property has a rich history dating back to 1913. The course is currently being transformed into a World Class golf teaching facility as well as a non-traditional golf course type and routing that will feature a six-hole loop with multiple tee AND green configurations that will allow play of 18 championship holes by making the 6-hole loop three times and never playing the same hole twice. The facility will also sport an alternate routing that will allow for play of a nine-hole executive course with 6 par 3’s and 3 par 4’s. Joel Weiman of Weiman Golf Design is excited to bring to life a plan that is already being touted as the most “golf intense” 45 acres in the game! All holes are designed as template holes from the Seth Raynor/C.B. MacDonald style.
Construction of this transformation has already begun, with earthwork, totally rebuilding, new HDPE irrigation system, and all new grassing of 777 bentgrass greens, and the entire course to premium cool season grasses to ensue. 2025 is sure to be an adventurous and busy year with golf slated to begin in spring of 2026.
