Founded in 1919 Rainier Golf and Country Club is the second oldest private golf club in Seattle. Position Summary
Responsibilities of the Assistant Superintendent will include assisting with day-to-day operations to ensure the course meets the highest standards, managing staff, and working jointly with the Superintendent, other Assistant, and Equipment Manager. A strong work ethic, passion for our industry and a great attitude are a must.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage the maintenance crew’s day to day work on the course and track completion of tasks
Closely monitor moisture levels of all playing surfaces, program irrigation
Communicate course conditions with Superintendent and Pro Staff
Identify and resolve issues on the golf course
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
Basic understanding of Irrigation troubleshooting and repair
Ability to operate a spray rig
Availability to work some weekends and holidays
Strong attention to detail and problem solving
Understanding of the game of golf
Capable of obtaining a Washington pesticide applicators license
Rainier Golf and Country Club is a private 18-hole facility in Seattle with a very active golfing membership. Our crew of 16 maintains all Poa greens, tees and fairways.
