Position Description
In coordination with the Superintendent, develop, plan, manage, and perform high-quality maintenance for all aspects of the Aldeen Golf Club Campus, including:
18-hole championship bent grass golf course
26-acre Practice Centre

Essential Functions
Leadership by Values

Inspection & Maintenance
Develop, plan, manage, and perform high-quality maintenance for:
18-hole championship golf course, including ponds and waterways
26-acre Practice Centre
Illinois Bank & Trust Pavilion grounds and mechanicals
Prepare the Aldeen campus for tournaments and special events.
Monitor and evaluate course conditions, insect and disease infestations, and water conditions.
Apply herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and fertilizers as needed.
Ready the course daily for maximum playability, including setting cups and clearing debris.
Conduct grounds care: planting, cultivating, pruning, aeration, and fertilization.
Maintain buildings and equipment, assisting with minor repairs.
Oversee critical processes for putting greens, bunkers, and irrigation system.
Coordinate contractor schedules and relationships.
Assist with annual start-up/shutdown of the irrigation system.
Implement preventative maintenance programs.
Assist in goose management efforts.
Operational Excellence
Attend seminars and training to stay updated on golf course maintenance advancements.
Order necessary supplies, materials, and chemicals.
Secure buildings daily, ensuring all locks and alarms are properly set.
Customer Satisfaction
Provide high-quality customer service to all patrons and employees.
Ensure a superior customer experience through knowledge, flexibility, and thoroughness.
Quickly and effectively solve customer problems to ensure satisfaction.

Ensure all staff implement PDRMA policies, checklists, training, and documentation.
Requirements
Associate’s degree in Turf Management, Horticulture, or a related field.
3-5 years of golf course maintenance experience.
Knowledge of bentgrass management and golf course agronomy.
Ability to obtain or possess a pesticide applicator’s license.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
