The Wisconsin Country Club is looking for the right candidate to help shape the future of the industry. The right candidate will alongside our current assistant superintendent and play a key role in the daily maintenance and management of the golf course and grounds staff.
There has been a strong commitment to investing in the golf course in terms of capital investments and operating budget. Projects over recent years include tee expansion and replacing, greens expansions, and bridge replacements. We are just a couple of years into a large equipment package providing our team the best resources to get the job done. Staffing during the peak season consists of 2 Assistant Superintendents, Seasonal Horticulturist, Equipment Manager, and a staff of 10 FTE.
Job duties will include, but not be limited to: course setup, hand watering, chemical and fertilizer calibration/application, and project management. The duties will be in combination with the daily management and constant training of staff to improve the operation.
This is a full time position with benefits package. Each assistant will work 5 days/week - One assistant will be off Friday/Saturday and one will be off Sunday-Monday. Snow removal needs may dictate weekend schedule in the winter, but the weekday schedule will be adjusted accordingly. Each assistant will also have an extended holiday weekend, Memorial Day or Labor Day to help create a balance outside of work.
