The Assistant Superintendent will collaborate closely with the Superintendent to strategize and implement all aspects of golf course maintenance. This role involves direct involvement in planning and executing maintenance schedules, overseeing the upkeep of turf and landscapes, managing irrigation systems, and supervising groundskeeping staff. The Assistant Superintendent will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the golf course meets the highest standards of aesthetics and playability. Additionally, they will be responsible for monitoring and adjusting the maintenance budget, coordinating pest and weed control programs, and managing equipment maintenance and inventory.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of turfgrass management practices and possess strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team of groundskeepers. They should be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills are crucial as the Assistant Superintendent will need to liaise with other staff and vendors regularly. A passion for golf course maintenance and a commitment to delivering exceptional playing conditions are essential.

Bachelor's Degree in Turfgrass Management or related field
Minimum of 2 years of golf course maintenance experience
Strong knowledge of turfgrass management practices
Experience with irrigation systems and equipment maintenance
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently
