Saginaw Country Club is a premier private golf course located in Saginaw, Michigan, known for its beautifully manicured greens, scenic landscapes, and exceptional golfing experience. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the daily operations of our golf course grounds and ensure the highest standards of turf management, course maintenance, and environmental sustainability.

Position Summary:

Saginaw Country Club is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Golf Course Grounds and Mechanic professional. This dual-role position involves maintaining the pristine condition of our golf course grounds and overseeing the upkeep and repair of golf course maintenance equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Grounds Maintenance:

• Perform routine mowing, trimming, and edging of greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
• Assist with aeration, fertilization, seeding, and sodding operations.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
• Participate in irrigation system maintenance, including repairs and adjustments.
• Support seasonal course preparation tasks, including leaf removal, bunker maintenance, and snow removal.

Mechanical Duties:

• Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of golf course equipment, including mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles.
• Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
• Order and manage inventory of parts and supplies needed for equipment maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong mechanical skills with experience maintaining and repairing small engines and turf equipment.
• Ability to operate various pieces of turf and landscaping equipment safely.
• Basic understanding of irrigation systems and turf management practices.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.

Working Conditions:

• Requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work hours may include early mornings, weekends, and holidays based on course needs.
• Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
