Golf Course Superintendent - Petrifying Springs
Nestled in the rolling hills and mature hardwoods adjacent to Kenosha County’s flagship Petrifying Springs Park is a scenic, historic public golf course. Consistently ranked as one of the best sporty courses in the State and voted the “#1” course in Kenosha County six consecutive years, Petrifying Springs Golf Course offers 18-holes and 6,019 yards of delight for players of all levels. This traditional 18-hole, par 70 golf course has been meticulously maintained, is very player friendly, and is considered a “must play” course by nearly every golfer that’s experienced its charm.
Given the historic features, manicured conditions, abundant natural beauty and staff-hospitality the course offers – most golfers are pleasantly surprised when they learn of the very reasonable rates.
Roughly 17 miles due west of Petrifying Springs is a 45-hole, champion-style sister course - Brighton Dale Links. Knowledge and equipment is commonly shared between staff at both courses. Brighton Dale Links was rated “#8” in the State by Golf Advisor in 2016.

Job Requirements, Education, Training, and Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Post high school training and involvement in Golf Course Superintendent Association is desirable.
Minimum five years of experience in golf course maintenance as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Licenses or Certifications
Must possess a valid driver’s license at time of hire and maintain during incumbency.
Must be able to obtain pesticide application license within 6 months of hire.

Knowledge of and/or ability to play the game of golf and understand how job performance affects the playing conditions of the golf course.
Knowledge of safety precautions and procedures applicable to maintenance equipment.

Ability to communicate effectively; follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to maintain positive interactions with co-workers and guests.
Ability to operate various golf course maintenance equipment including trucks, sweepers, rollers, mowers, and other mechanical and non-mechanical equipment.
