Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our May River team. Reporting directly to the Golf Course Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent will play a key role in maintaining the overall quality and playability of the course. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for golf course management.
Minimum 3 years' experience in golf course maintenance
Strong knowledge of golf course maintenance practices, turfgrass species, and irrigation systems
Experience in supervising and training staff effectively
Ability to operate and maintain golf course equipment and machinery
Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
GCSAA member preferred but not required
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Turfgrass Management or related field
