Washoe Golf Course in Reno, Nevada is looking for a Class A GCSAA Superintendent to lead the maintenance and agronomic operations of the golf course. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring top-notch playing conditions throughout the 10-month playing season, managing over 50,000 rounds annually. This challenging role requires a motivated individual with experience in maintaining high-quality turfgrass in the unique high desert climate of northern Nevada. The Golf Course Superintendent will oversee the development and implementation of agronomic plans, manage all aspects of course maintenance, supervise the irrigation system, lead and manage a maintenance team, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of turf management, strong leadership skills, proficiency in irrigation system management, and a relevant degree in Turfgrass Management or a related field.
Class A Golf Course Superintendent (CGCS) through GCSAA
Minimum of 3 years experience as a golf course superintendent or assistant superintendent
Extensive knowledge of agronomic practices and turf management
Strong leadership and communication skills
Proficiency in irrigation system programming and repair
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Turfgrass Management or a related field
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
