The ISHA Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Golf Course

Superintendent to lead the construction and grow-in of a new 18-hole championship golf course designed by Paul Reeves. With land clearing and rough grading complete, this is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a world-class course from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the grow-in and maintenance of the golf course, ensuring the highest standards of turfgrass quality.
• Collaborate with the construction and design teams to bring the Paul Reeves vision to life.
• Organize, lead, and train a dedicated team of turfgrass professionals.
• Implement innovative and efficient practices to achieve optimal course conditions.
• Maintain detailed records and budgets, ensuring projects and daily maintenance is completed on time and within scope.

Qualifications:

• Formal turfgrass education is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Proven experience with golf course construction and grow-in, particularly in the transition zone.
• Expertise in growing and maintaining fine-quality turfgrass, including bentgrass greens and hybrid Bermudagrass tees, fairways, and roughs.
• Familiarity with Toro decoder irrigation systems is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to assemble and lead a high-performing team.
• Exceptional organizational and attention-to-detail skills, with a focus on innovation, golf course playability, environmental stewardship, and teamwork.
