The Moorhead Country Club is seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join its management team as the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. This is a full-time, year-round position.

About Moorhead Country Club:

Moorhead Country Club (MCC) is a private, 18-hole golf course with a driving range, practice greens, and a chipping area. Established in 1937, the course is situated along the banks of the Red River in the Fargo/Moorhead metropolitan area, which has an estimated population of 250,000. MCC has seen significant membership growth and is currently at capacity with a waiting list. A major flood mitigation project in 2014 redesigned the back nine, eliminating flood risks. The club uses a new fleet of Toro equipment and is continually investing in new technologies, including Toro VP Satellites and Lynx irrigation software.

Job Duties:

• Schedule, train, and supervise seasonal staff.
• Calibrate, mix, and apply chemicals and fertilizers (both dry and liquid).
• Maintain and repair the Toro irrigation system with VP Satellites and Lynx software.
• Assist in tree trimming and removal.
• Support daily course operations.
• Contribute to planning and implementing course upgrades and construction projects.
• Participate in budgeting and capital purchases for the club.
• Handle miscellaneous duties as needed.
• Additional duties that employee desires to learn for career growth.

Requirements:

• Certificate, or a two- or four-year degree in Turf Management, Horticulture, Plant Sciences, Agronomy, or a related field.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Minnesota Department of Agriculture non-commercial pesticide applicator's license (Categories A & E) within 60 days of hire.
• Strong work ethics and integrity, organizational skills, positive attitude, and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
