Oliphant Golf Management (OGM) is seeking a hard-working, results oriented Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our team in Valparaiso, IN at The Golf Course at Aberdeen. Under the direction and supervision of the Head Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent will lead small groups to achieve optimal golf course conditions in a teamwork-driven atmosphere. This position offers opportunities to grow in your career while maintaining an 18 hole golf course. OGM recently renovated the 11th hole at Aberdeen, added tees and reworked bunkers around the course as phase 1 of a master plan focusing on golf course improvements over the next 5 years. In addition to Aberdeen’s members, the golf course attracts local and traveling golfers to this beautiful property. Aberdeen offers an ideal opportunity for an Assistant Superintendent to bolster their skills and professional experience.
The successful candidate will assist the Superintendent with fertilizer and chemical applications, bunker maintenance, irrigation, and crew/project management. Our team members consistently reflect a friendly, confident, professional demeanor that provides a safe and healthy work environment. Experience in golf or landscape maintenance is required. Education in related fields and Indiana Pesticide applicator license are preferred.
