Driftwood, a Fazio design, has selected turfgrasses unique to the area that will provide interns experience with managing both cool and warm season turf in Central Texas. The greens are built to USGA specifications and are comprised of 007 bentgrass. A mono stand of zeon zoysia was selected for the tees, fairways, and rough. The golf course is paired with a world class 13 acre practice facility and short game area that includes three Mach 1 bermudagrass greens, latitude 36 bermuda and zeon zoysia range tees, with two bentgrass putting greens offering interns a vast array of exposure to different cultivars. The state of the art irrigation system is comprised of a Rain Bird IC system (2 wire), Watertronics pump station, and plumbed with HDPE mainlines and laterals.
Must be currently enrolled or graduated from a 2 or 4 year turfgrass management program or agronomy related field
Previous golf course experience is preferred but not required
