Housing is provided, lunch is provided by the club every day except Tuesdays, uniforms, as well as golfing/fishing privileges will be provided. Overtime will be available and the internship will also consist of having every other weekend off, which would allow you to have some time to see and experience the Texas Hill Country and surrounding area.

Boot Ranch is a Hal Sutton design, located in Fredericksburg the heart of the Texas Hill Country. The property consists of an 18-hole championship golf course, 35-acre golf Practice Park, Ranch club with pools and sports campus, clubhouse, private lake club, fitness center, and newly completed racquet club. The course has 8-year-old tifeagle greens and wall to wall tifsport. The membership is extremely supportive of all staff members and strives for Boot Ranch to be the best employer in the surrounding area.
This position is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to get some hands-on experience with several course enhancement projects throughout the season. Interns will be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the golf course including but not limited to small staff management, help in daily planning, spraying, record keeping/recording data and water management. The interns will work closely with the assistant’s, superintendent, mechanic, and a year-round crew of approximately 25.
This summer we will be working on several in house project: installing drainage, building new tee boxes, and working on various irrigation projects. All of these will be excellent opportunities to broaden your knowledge.
Must be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year Turf Grass Management program at a credited University or working on a certification program.
Boot Ranch is a Hal Sutton design, located in Fredericksburg, the heart of the Texas Hill Country. The property consists of an 18-hole top 10 ranked golf course in Texas in Dallas morning news yearly rankings, 34-acre golf practice park, Ranch club with pools and sports campus, clubhouse and a lake club nestled on an 11-acre lake. In 2017 the club underwent a successful 3-million-dollar renovation including: the construction of the 1 acre putting green and community park, new bunkers with bunker solution liners, conversion of 28 bent-grass greens to tiff-eagle ultra-dwarf Bermuda, and several other changes to further improve the playability of the golf course. Boot Ranch has been selected as the site for many Texas Golf Association/South Texas PGA tournaments, most recently host of the 2020 Texas State Amateur and 2021 Joe Black Cup.
