About Bonnie Brook Golf Course (18) & Greenshire (Executive 9)
COMPANY PROFILE & HISTORY
GolfVisions was founded June 30, 1998 and incorporated as GolfVisions Management, Inc. in the State of Illinois on February 8, 2001. Our golf industry experience is formidable at 50+ years for our CEO/President, including 25+ consecutive years of management company ownership (initially partial), and 20 to 35+ years for our principals.
GolfVisions is owned by Timothy J. Miles Sr., who serves as President/CEO of the firm, which is headquartered in Mundelein, Ill. GolfVisions is the culmination of Miles’ vision to be a positive force and major contributor within the golf industry, an objective accomplished particularly in the Midwest but also with considerable national experience. Miles is responsible for overall company performance (the collective portfolio), client relations, business development, and quality assurance of staff and facilities.
The origins of GolfVisions actually date back to 1989 with the establishment of a golf management company called GreenVisions, Inc. Co-founded by Miles, GreenVisions soon emerged as the leading golf management, construction and consulting firm in the Midwest. Tim’s vision for the company was simple and sound:
...
•Provide quality golf management services for competitive fees.
•Help clients articulate and realize their objectives. Commit to unparalleled service. Make a lasting contribution to the game of golf.
Under Miles’ leadership, GreenVisions grew steadily and by 1995 boasted a portfolio of 10 leased/managed facilities. In March 1995, GreenVisions’ portfolio was purchased by Crown Golf Properties. During its six-year history, GreenVisions had also provided construction and/or grow-in services for 17 new or renovated courses. At Crown, Miles leveraged this experience to build its construction division into a $25-million per year business.
In 1998, with Crown turning its attention to the acquisition of high-end properties, Miles and several long-term associates left to form a new management and construction company. Evoking its origins as GreenVisions, the new entity was named “GolfVisions.” GolfVisions focused on
operations and has remained committed to operating high-quality public-sector golf as well as providing expert consulting to a wide range of private- and public-sector clients.
GolfVisions’ strengths are exceptional and include its seasoned leadership, most notably Miles’ 50+ years of experience in all facets of the golf industry, but encompassing our entire team of experienced, dedicated professionals. GolfVisions’ leadership is steeped in a thorough understanding of today’s operating environment and applies realistic management practices to create a best-in-class experience at every GolfVisions facility. GolfVisions’ goal as an operator is simple: ensuring each operated facility is an aesthetic and financial success.
At present, GolfVisions operates 14 courses. GolfVisions’ portfolio is oriented around public golf facilities and our historical experience with the public sector (municipalities, park districts, forest preserve districts) is extensive.
Principals of GolfVisions have amassed impressive credentials within every facet of the golf industry, including operations, maintenance/agronomy, food-and-beverage, event-planning, marketing and technology.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
GolfVisions’ philosophy grew out of the collection of principles, beliefs and actions we bring to bear on the art and science of golf course management. We feel these same principles, beliefs and actions, when combined, substantially differentiate us from competitors. What is “the GolfVisions difference?” What mindset are we bringing to the operation of any managed or leased property?
•Two metrics for measuring success: aesthetic and financial.
•Disciplined financial controls.
•A commitment to identifying and implementing best practices in every area of the golf operation.
•Creative, multifaceted marketing targeted towards achieving ATR -- Awareness, Trial, Repeat-- and biased toward methodologies that are measurable, cost-efficient and technologically advanced.
•Adherence to “crisp, clean and green.” This mantra pertains not only to golf course conditions, but to the meticulous maintenance/housekeeping that will be evident in every facet of the facility.
•Use of daily procedural checklists. GolfVisions utilizes detailed daily checklists in every area of the operation, for every job description within the operation, to ensure adherence to the “crisp, clean and green” standard.
•Substance to back up our claims.
•“Straight talk” with our clients.
•Personal attention from corporate leadership and management personnel.
• A commitment to win-win agreements.
•Thorough understanding and knowledge of the golf market.
•Adherence to sound business practices and principles through recessionary periods, inflationary periods and pandemics
•Confidence in our strong track record of performing facilities.
•Delivery of a facility image to which the Owner can point with pride.
•Last but certainly not least: integrity, consistency and diligence.
