This Assistant Superintendent position will assist the Director of Grounds and Golf Course Superintendent in the day-to-day management of the golf course and staff.  This position is a working management position and will involve all aspects of Golf Course Management including but not limited to:  Irrigation system repair and scheduling, moisture management, crew scheduling and management, pesticide and fertility applications and course setup.  

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in Golf Course Maintenance 
  • Well versed in all aspects of day-to-day course setup and maintenance
  • Knowledge and passion for the game and rules of golf
  • Possess or obtain a Kansas Pesticide License 
  • Desire to further your career in the golf course management profession

About Milburn Country Club
Milburn CC is a championship 18-hole, private golf and country club located in Overland Park, Kansas. Milburn CC was founded in 1917 and has hosted numerous top amateur golf events including the Kansas Amateur, Missouri Amateur, Heart of America Four-Ball, The Watson Challenge, and numerous USGA regional and sectional qualifiers. Milburn is currently the #7 ranked golf course in the state of Kansas by Golf Digest. Milburn has invested significantly in providing top-notch facilities and experiences for its membership in the last decade with: a new clubhouse, new tennis and pool facilities, and numerous golf course upgrades. A brand-new Turf Maintenance Facility was completed and opened in Spring 2023. We are currently in the process of a Golf Course Master Plan with Restoration Architect Tyler Rae that may lead to significant course improvements in the coming years.
