Collier’s Reserve is looking for a highly motivated Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, with experience in team leadership, strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. The 1^st Assistant will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Equipment Manager to provide championship level golf course conditions daily. This position is a great opportunity to learn all aspects of high-level management and build your career.  

Strong emphasis will be placed on running programs based on data driven technology such as GreenKeeper, Task Tracker, Pogo, and TurfRad Soil Sensors. Additional experience will be gained in digital “State of The Course” Video updates using Drone footage, ground camera work, and video editing. The Assistant superintendent will also participate in Green Committee Meetings and other Club Presentations to gain Board Room experience.

Daily tasks will include but are not limited to: Daily course setup, daily water management with Pogo moisture meter, pest & disease identification, agronomic applications, monthly agronomic planning, and team safety meetings. The golf course is Bimini Bermudagrass with TifEagle Greens and the irrigation system is Toro VP with Lynx.  

Experience Requirements

Golf Course Management experience required.

Educational Requirements

A 2–4-year degree in Turfgrass Management or related field required.  Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

* Strong work ethic, a love of the game, and desire to excel in the industry is a must

* Evaluate & Manage staff performance daily to set standards

* High attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills

* Team oriented, willing to listen, present ideas, and lead a Team

* Able to promote a safe work environment through proper training and PPE

* Must obtain Florida RUP license within first 6 months of employment

* Must have valid driver’s license

* Required to lift at least 50 LBS
