Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club is looking for an Assistant Equipment Manager to work with and alongside our Equipment Manager and Technicians. This position is focused on helping mentor and train a hardworking, dedicated Equipment Technician who wants to take the next step in their career on their way to becoming an Equipment Manager. This individual must be willing to learn and teach the other Equipment Technicians along with other team members. This position requires a motivated individual with a keen eye for attention to detail and who thrives working in a team-oriented environment. Experience requirements:
A POSITIVE ATTITUDE
Good communication skills are a MUST
Mechanical experience and knowledge with 3-5 years as an Equipment Technician
Rotary and Reel Maintenance
Ability to prioritize equipment repair
Ability to diagnose mechanical trouble and determine appropriate maintenance work
Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession
Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with fellow team members
Working knowledge of reel grinding and cutting unit set-up, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, 4-cycle & 2-cycle gas engines and diesel engines
Implement and maintain an extensive preventative maintenance program aided by Toro My-Turf
