The Assistant equipment manager is responsible for assisting in major and minor mechanical repairs on a variety of gasoline, diesel and electric powered equipment. This position keeps all equipment in efficient, operable condition at all times and organizes and maintains a clean service area and maintenance building.   Inspects, adjusts, diagnoses and repairs mechanic defects in the many types of golf course maintenance equipment and vehicles Performs general overhaul of motors and repairs transmissions, differentials, carburetors, distributors, fuel pumps, steering systems, starters, generators, universal joints, hydraulic systems, electrical systems and high-pressure pumps and valves Installs and adjusts brakes and installs batteries, tires and wiring
