Isleworth Golf and Country Club is an 18-hole private facility located outside of Orlando Florida. We are number 26 in the world on the Platinum Clubs of the World list. Home to many PGA, LPGA, and Senior Tour members, we pride ourselves in providing tournament conditions on a daily basis. We are currently in the process of replacing 90%of our equipment fleet. We are currently in the process of a full golf course renovation. Working with architect Steve Smyers the golf course is undergoing a total greens and bunker renovation, turf replacement of tees, fairways and rough, and implementation of naturalized areas to reduce turf and conserve water. A brand new pump station was installed in 2021, and all irrigation lines have been replaced with HDPE in this process as well as new heads and controls for the system.
We are looking to add team-oriented individuals with a passion for the game of golf and course management. These positions require a positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work with the team as well as work alone, and willingness to want to learn all aspects of golf maintenance.
This position will assist the course maintenance staff in day-to-day operations, performs daily course maintenance responsibilities to a high level and incorporates safe work practices in job performance. The potential candidates would be capable of following instructions as given and would adopt the “culture” of the department in behavior, work ethic and appearance.
Assist in the daily upkeep of the golf course grounds and landscaping, including mowing, edging, trimming, and maintaining sand traps and bunkers.
Maintain golf courses by mowing, trimming, edging, and treating turf as directed by supervision.
Operates fly mowers to mow bunkers and lake bank roughs.
Operates motorized trimmers to prune bushes, shrubs, and hedges.
Perform routine maintenance on power equipment and maintains hand tools in good working condition.
Operate and maintain basic groundskeeping equipment, such as fly mowers, trimmers, and utility vehicles.
Support landscaping efforts by planting, weeding, and pruning to enhance the visual appeal of the golf course.
Repairing divots and course clean up.
Rake and maintain sand bunkers to ensure they are in excellent playing condition.
Keep course edged and pruned, edge cart paths, yardage markers, and drainage catch basins.
Repairs wash outs on golf course.
Participate as support staff on any special projects
Safely utilize various carts for transportation.
Keep storage area clean, organized and stocked.
Follow all company, departmental, safety and security policies and procedures.
Identify and report any course hazards or areas requiring repair to the management team.
Work closely with experienced maintenance personnel to acquire knowledge and skills related to golf course maintenance.
Report maintenance needs to supervision on a timely basis.
Follow the work schedule and completes job assignments as directed by supervision.
Request materials and/or tools needed to perform work activities to supervision on a timely basis.
Reports equipment problems or failures to supervision as encountered.
Additional Responsibilities:
May learn and operate higher level equipment occasionally until proficiency is acquired.
May perform repairs to the irrigation system.
May participate as support staff on any special projects.
May apply fertilizer, pesticides, and herbicides as directed by supervision.
May assist in providing support for golf tournaments.
