SUMMARY Under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent; programs, operates and maintains the golf course irrigation systems, supervise work crews, as assigned, and assist in application of chemicals and/or fertilizer.  Safety is foremost in the operations and maintenance of the systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Operates irrigation field controllers, pipes, valves, irrigation sprinkler heads of the greens, tees and fairways. Operates a light/heavy vehicle which can include an automobile, tractor, riding mower, push or pull mowers and truck. Will be required to work on the electrical wiring as related to the irrigation systems.
