DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:  The incumbent plans and directs the maintenance and care of the Town golf course.  This work involves the overall direction of grounds maintenance activities at the Town golf course.  The position includes responsibility for maintaining the course in optimum playing condition throughout the season.  The work is performed under the general supervision of the Town Supervisor or his designee with full discretion granted in planning and executing the technical details of the work. Supervision is exercised over the work of the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent and all Golf Course maintenance personnel.  The incumbent does related work as required. TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: Develops and implements a comprehensive maintenance
