Cambridge Country Club Superintendent Career Opportunity for the position of Golf Course Superintendent. Successful candidates will demonstrate a keen focus on delivering exceptional playing conditions and attention to detail completing various projects and goals set forth by Directors of Golf and Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities of the Superintendent:
Maintain and adhere to the annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plans.
Supervise and actively assist maintenance staff in their daily duties.
Contribute to the planning, organization, and direction of maintenance and construction activities on putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
Oversee the planting and cultural practices involved in cultivating various turf grasses, trees, and ornamental plants.
Ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
Assist in the procurement of supplies and materials while managing costs within budgetary limits.
Keep detailed records of annual maintenance activities and associated costs.
Reconcile and provide timely coding for invoices, payroll, and other required documents.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and government regulations.
Ensure that associates obtain the necessary licenses to perform job tasks safely and in compliance with regulations.
Recruit and manage departments staff members, full-time and seasonal.
Conduct effective orientation and training for new associates and develop ongoing training programs.
Promote a positive work culture throughout the maintenance team.
Collaborate with the General Manager, Director of Golf, and Events Director on course conditions, availability, event setup, and additional facility maintenance needs.
Minimum Qualifications for the Superintendent:
Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree, or equivalent from a four or two-year college; 2-4 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (degree preference in agronomy/horticulture/plant/soil science).
Must possess a valid Ohio pesticide license.
Strong business aptitude and passion for the golf industry.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Salary $55,000-$60,000 Annual Salary Based on Experience
