Nature of Work This is difficult technical and skilled work assisting with the planning, organizing and implementation of the maintenance program for the city owned golf course.  Activities associated with the job include supervising and participating in the preparation and maintenance of the golf course and related facilities, coordinating fertility, weed, insect and disease control programs, and supervising and participating in the maintenance of golf course grounds, fairways, tees, greens and irrigation and watering systems.  Additional activities include supervising and assisting with the aeration, top-dressing, and watering of greens, preparing and application of chemicals, fertilizers and soil enrichment materials and instructing staff in proper grounds ma
