About Colbert Hills Golf Course
Designed by Jim Colbert and Jeff Brauer, Colbert Hills opened in 2000 and is the top-ranked public golf course in the state of Kansas. The challenging layout showcases the natural beauty of the Flint Hills region. The course is home to Kansas State University men's and women's golf teams and will test all levels of golfers. Colbert Hills' appropriately named Black and Blue "bruiser" tees that stretch to a full 7,525yards.
The generous zoysia grass fairways at Colbert Hills are accessible from five sets of tees but beware of the ever present wind. Native tallgrass prairie comes into play on every hole and must be negotiated to reach the undulation bent grass greens that average over 7,000 square feet each.
In additional to the Championship Course, Colbert Hills has a nine-hole par 3 practice facility that is home to the Kansas State golf teams, First Tee participants, and Founders.
