Briarwood Country Club is seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual for mechanic position in the ground’s maintenance department.
Maintain preventative maintenance program.
Will initiate a hazardous material disposal program as it pertains to equipment maintenance and facility management (oil, anti-freeze, etc.).
This individual, with management approval and within budget parameters, should develop and maintain an intelligent parts inventory.
Will need to gain fabrication skills (welding, plasma cutting, etc.).
This individual should have basic computer skills and ability to communicate with superintendent, vendors, distributors, and salespeople.
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine appropriate maintenance work.
Elective insurance including medical, dental, and vision.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Golf course or turfgrass experience highly recommended.
Regular and reliable attendance.
2-cycle, 4-cycle, gasoline, diesel and electric engines and motors.
Hydraulic systems and pumps.
Electrical systems of all golf course equipment and vehicles.
Proper sharpening techniques (grinding) for reels, bed knives, and rotary mower blades.
Ability to properly adjust reel-to-bedknife and height-of-cut on reel mowers.
