San Francisco Golf Club is now accepting applications for Interns for the 2024 season. San Francisco Golf Club is an 18 hole, 190 acre Golf Club located in San Francisco California. The club was established in 1918 by A.W. Tillinghast. San Francisco Golf Club is Currently ranked amongst the top 30.
As an intern at San Francisco Golf Club, you will be exposed to all aspects of golf course maintenance. You will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the best leaders in the industry. San Francisco Golf Club is continually making improvements to the golf course with various projects throughout the year. The intern will work alongside the Assistants and Superintendent in designing and completing projects and daily tasks. The management team at SFGC takes great pride in keeping a light and fun working environment.
Potential Intern Duties
All aspects of Golf Course Maintenance including but not limited to
-Golf course setup for championship conditions
-Water management on greens using TDR soil sensors
-Boom spraying of greens, tees and fairways with Toro 1750 and 5800 sprayers
-Detailed logging of chemical applications using GreenKeeperApp
-Installation of Toro 830 series irrigation heads and quick couplers
-Irrigation troubleshooting and fixes
-Work closely with Superintendent and Assistants on daily scheduling of the crew using TaskTracker
-High Involvement in course Projects and Improvements (Drainage, Tee Restoration, Sod Projects)
Successful candidate must be willing to learn, work hard, and be a team player.
Potential interns need to be currently pursuing a degree or a recent graduate from an accredited university in turf management or agronomy.
