We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Equipment Manager to join our team and help ensure the impeccable condition of our golf course and equipment.
As the Assistant Equipment Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of our golf course maintenance team. You will work closely with the Equipment Manager and our skilled grounds crew to ensure that all equipment is in top working condition, thereby contributing to the superior quality and presentation of our golf course.
Assist in the maintenance, repair, and operation of all golf course maintenance equipment.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment, including but not limited to mowers, tractors, and small engines.
Diagnose mechanical and technical issues and conduct necessary repairs in a timely manner.
Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair activities.
Assist with inventory management, ordering parts and supplies as needed.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized equipment maintenance area.
Assist in training and supervising equipment maintenance staff as needed.
Collaborate with the Equipment Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the equipment maintenance department.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training is a plus.
Proven experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a golf course or landscaping setting.
Knowledge of small engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues effectively.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
A passion for golf and an understanding of golf course maintenance is a plus.
