Nestled between Bracebridge and Huntsville, Diamond in the Ruff Golf Club is a hidden gem—a semi-private 9-hole golf course and cottage resort. We're on the lookout for passionate individuals to join us in the exciting role of Golf Course Superintendent.
Manage the care and maintenance of Diamond in the Ruff Golf Club's properties, including the golf course, clubhouse grounds, landscaping, parking lots, cottages, open spaces, and related equipment.
Oversee all aspects of grounds and equipment maintenance in line with the turf management program.
Manage personnel, providing training, supervision, and evaluations.
Supervise planting, fertilizing, and care of turf, plants, and facilities on the golf course.
Record and track all maintenance activities.
Develop and manage the department budget, taking corrective action as needed.
Select and apply fertilizers and nutrients for flora and fauna.
Maintain drainage, irrigation, and watering systems.
Ensure the course is in optimal playing condition.
Keep accurate work records for department personnel.
Adhere to regulations for the use, storage, and disposal of chemicals and petroleum products.
Prepare and update the grounds manual.
Develop short- and long-range plans for the golf course.
Oversee course construction and maintenance projects.
Conduct daily security checks and maintain equipment inventory.
Assist with snow removal planning and maintenance.
Make recommendations for capital improvements and purchases.
Supervise road and roadside maintenance within the club's grounds.
Ensure proper landscaping for areas outside the golf course.
Coordinate work with external contractors.
Conduct regular course inspections and recommend improvements.
Perform other assigned tasks from management or the general manager.
