Golf Associate

Play Golf Is looking for a Golf Associate to join the team. Your responsibility will encompass a diverse range of tasks, from nurturing relationships and signing up new members to ensuring every customer experience is exceptional. You won't just be an observer – you'll be at the forefront, actively participating in daily operations, equipment maintenance, and creating an environment that's a haven for golf enthusiasts and professionals alike.

The ideal candidate shares a deep connection to the golf industry, stemming from either prior experience or an authentic passion for the sport. This individual should naturally exude a go-getter attitude, tackling challenges with a solution-oriented mindset that seamlessly integrates with our team.

As a perk, the selected candidate will have the unique opportunity to shadow our onsite 10+ years experienced golf coach, Mark Odenthal top 40 under 40 studied under the #1 and #2 ranked instructors in California George Gankas and Dana Dahlquist, engaging in a hands-on learning experience. You'll also acquire day-to-day operational experience in managing an indoor golf facility, honing managerial skill sets that will empower you to excel in a broader range of golf professional scenarios.

Duties & Responsibilities

Business Development

• Prospect and retain new or existing clients through making them aware of any promotions, renewal, member events and touring the facility
• Cultivate meaningful relationships with guests and engage with customers at events and help create return business
• Manage and maintain relationships with surrounding vendors and landlords 

• Review daily reports and work with team to finalize weekly and monthly reports that outline community and sales progress
• Assist in the preparation, implementation and maintenance of action plans to meet monthly targeted membership KPI

Community Management & Events

• Ensuring the highest quality of customer service through: 
• Welcoming client check-in at front desk 
• Troubleshooting technical issues on site 
• Answering questions or concerns onsite or over email/phone
• Solve member-related issues to ensure a cohesive community and manage member expectations
• Maintain current membership records, including current and lapsed memberships
• Exercise discretion in guiding prospective members
• Assist in the creation of event and marketing plans and budgets
  

On-site Operations

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility, including opening and closing of studio, simulator bays, reception area, equipment, and amenities
• Checking customers in and out of space through booking and POS systems 
• Ensure that the facility is clean, organized, and well-maintained
• Oversee the maintenance and functionality of golf simulators, screens, projectors, and other technical equipment
• Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal statutes and regulations
• Be familiar with basic golf swing terminology and the ability to speak to some simple swing and set-up fundamentals
• Be familiar with golf simulator data outputs and ability to help guests understand them
