Pensacola Country Club is seeking a Certified Golf Course Superintendent to manage our Jerry Pate designed private golf course. The successful candidate will have a verifiable history of employment and will have with at least seven years of experience as a Superintendent/Director of Agronomy.
Reporting directly to the General Manager/COO he/she will be afforded with the best equipment and supplies to maintain the course in excellent playing condition.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage entire golf course maintenance operation.
Maintain all grounds including but not limited to golf course.
Manage maintenance of all golf course equipment.
Maintain golf course in championship playing condition.
Create and manage competitive annual budget.
Record all applications on golf course.
Supervise all planting, fertilizing and care of turf, plants, shrubs, trees and other facilities on golf course.
Develop and maintain drainage, irrigation and watering systems.
Apply fertilizers and nutrients for all turf and ornamentals on golf course and club grounds.
Supervise, train, evaluate, and schedule all staff assigned to the department.
Provide necessary input for all required personnel records.
Supervise operation of all personnel in equipment repair.
Implement and enforce comprehensive safety programs for employees, members, and guests on golf course in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
Work with golf professional regarding course conditions and set-up for tournaments.
Will attend monthly Grounds and Greens Committee Meeting
Must be a Certified Golf Course Superintendent with a minimum of 7 years of high level experience.
Must have current Florida Turf and Ornamental Pesticide License.

The oldest private country club in Florida, Pensacola Country Club was founded in 1902 and has since provided personalized, unparalleled service to its members and guests.
Around the turn of the century, one of the first country clubs in the State of Florida was started under the name of Pensacola Country Club. It came into being November 5, 1902 when the original club site was acquired from Wm. H. Knowles. A two-story clubhouse was erected and concrete tennis courts constructed.
