Sugar Mill Country Club, a prestigious private 27-hole golf facility nestled in the beautiful New Smyrna Beach, FL, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Superintendent to become a valued member of our team. Sugar Mill Country Club, originally designed by the renowned Joe Lee, offers an unparalleled golf experience featuring 6 acres of TifEagle greens, 60 acres of lush Bimini bermudagrass, and 32 acres of Celebration bermudagrass. We're committed to excellence and continuous improvement, and we're currently finalizing a successful renovation project on one of our 9-hole courses. This renovation includes enhancements such as HDPE irrigation with the Toro 2-wire system, USGA Spec TifEagle greens, Bimini Bermudagrass tees and fairways, and Capillary Concrete in our bunkers.

As the Assistant Superintendent, you will play a vital role in the success of our golf course maintenance operations. Working closely with the Golf Course Superintendent, you'll be at the forefront of course management, ensuring that every aspect of our golf course is maintained to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including:

• Assisting with all facets of daily maintenance
• Collaborating in the development and supervision of daily assignments
• Calibrating and applying foliar and granular pesticides/fertilizers as needed
• Mastering moisture management techniques for our greens using the TDR Moisture Meter/POGO TurfPro
• Providing crucial support to our Irrigation Technician to optimize watering strategies.
• Communicating effectively with the Superintendent to address performance issues and maintain our exceptional standards
• Interacting professionally with members, co-workers, management, and the general public, showcasing your courtesy and professionalism
