Assistant Superintendent

Maroon Creek Club is a Top 150 Country Club per Platinum Clubs of America located In Aspen, Colorado, at the base of Buttermilk Mountain. We seek a motivated individual ready to take their career to the next level within the golf course industry. The Assistant Superintendent will report to the Director of Agronomy and Golf Course Superintendent.

Desired Qualifications and Traits

• Two years of golf course maintenance experience

• Two-year or four-year Turfgrass management degree

• Spanish speaking is a plus

• Ability to acquire a Colorado pesticide license

• Must be self-motivated.

• Eager to learn and educate

• Able to work long hours

• Versatile in all aspects of golf course maintenance

• Strong attention to detail

• Carry a positive attitude in the workplace

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary commensurate with qualification and experience (DOE $75,000-$85,000)

Key responsibilities of Position

• Proper application of pesticides utilizing GPS-enabled sprayers

• Management of pesticide ordering, inventory, and tracking

• Irrigation management and repair

• Moisture management

• Management of a multicultural staff of 34

Physical Requirements

• Work in extreme weather

• Lift 50 pounds frequently

• Stand and walk for extended hours

• Bend and kneel for up to 5 hours

• Operate vehicles and equipment for several hours at a time
