Assistant Superintendent

Assistant Superintendent will directly schedule, manage, and motivate seasonal staff. Responsibilities will also include daily scheduling of tasks, applications of fertilizers and pesticides, irrigation programming and repair, moisture management, and record keeping. Opportunities for project management will also be given.

Walnut Creek is currently undergoing a multimillion dollar renovation with new irrigation, drainage, greens, tees, and bunkers. Regrassing of fairways and rough is also occurring with this renovation.

Walnut Creek Country Club offers a great experience including management of both annual bluegrass and bentgrass greens, tees, and fairways.  In addition, there are four different methods of greens construction represented including soil push up, modified California, sand based, and USGA.  Candidates for this position will be exposed to all activities in the organization.  Ideal candidates will be self motivated, honest, trustworthy, and have a positive attitude.  Assistant Superintendent will attend Greens Committee meetings for experience with member relations and club politics.
