Golf Course Superintendent

• The position reports directly to the General Manager.
• The superintendent is expected to be hands on in all facets of the position.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, organized individual, and can-do attitude.
• High level of professionalism, attention to detail and personal drive.
• Responsible for maintaining proper playing conditions on a daily basis.
• Provide a professional and organized maintenance operation to include recruitment, scheduling, and evaluation.
• Maintain detailed records of course maintenance and chemical applications.
• Required pesticide license, and the ability to calibrate and apply pesticides and fertilizer applications when appropriate and supervise applications when relevant.
• Safely run and train all staff to operate golf course maintenance equipment.
• Knowledge of cool weather grasses.
• Order supplies and materials on a timely basis within budgetary limitations
• Prepare yearly maintenance budget.
• Possess the ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
• Possesses thorough knowledge of drainage control methods, watering, and irrigation systems, including wells, pumps, and automatic controls.
• Knowledge of tree management and removal is helpful.
• Monitor and ensure ice buildup does not occur on green surfaces.
• Snow Removal around the maintenance and club house area.
