The Montgomery County Revenue Authority (MCRA) has an opportunity to join a dynamic team! MCRA was created in 1957 as an instrumentality of Montgomery County and a public corporation. The MCRA has two primary functions, one is to operate self-supporting public facilities, and the other is to finance public facilities. On the operations side, the MCRA directly manages the Golf Course System (of 9 golf courses), The Crossvines Winery, and operates the Montgomery County Airpark.
Our Hampshire Greens Golf Course, located in Ashton, MD, has an immediate opening for a full-time Equipment Mechanic at $25-$30/hour commensurate with experience, to manage the care and maintenance of the equipment fleet used to maintain the golf course and grounds. The Equipment Mechanic will report to the Hampshire Greens Superintendent and Equipment Program Director.
Essential duties and responsibilities of the Equipment Mechanic include, but are not limited to:
Support a clean and safe work environment - Hampshire Greens is committed to a clean and safe workplace and the Equipment Mechanic plays a key role in achieving our workplace safety goals.
Manage an organized preventative maintenance program - Preventative maintenance is key to the longevity and overall performance of the equipment used at Hampshire Greens. The Equipment Mechanic will be provided with the tools necessary to track and document any and all maintenance performed on the equipment fleet.
Maintain equipment daily - Hampshire Greens is a high-volume operation, and it is critical that the equipment scheduled for use each day is in good working order.
Communicate frequently with the Golf Course Superintendent - The Golf Course Superintendent and Equipment Mechanic will work together to ensure the needs of the equipment fleet are being supported and addressed.
Assist the management team (Golf Course Superintendent and two Assistant Superintendents) in delegating assignments to the maintenance team.
