Golf Course Superintendent

Key Responsibilities of the Golf Course Superintendent include:

• Plan, promote, work, and direct all golf course maintenance, horticulture, and equipment maintenance staff
• Select, supervise, train, and evaluate golf maintenance, horticulture, and equipment maintenance staff
• Ensures all associates and self-obtain proper training and/or licenses needed to perform job tasks safely and within city, state, and federal regulations. Addresses directly all real or perceived environmental concerns
• Supervises the planting and cultural practices involved in growing various turf grasses, trees, and ornamental plants
• Procures supplies and materials within budgetary limitations
• Ensures all maintenance equipment is properly maintained
• Maintain a close working relationship with the General Manager to coordinate and communicate maintenance practices, timing, and needs
• Coordinate activities with other managers to facilitate exceptional guests experiences at all times
• Exceptionally strong communication and facilitation skills, both written and verbal, with the appropriate personal presence, desire, and ability to interact effectively with members, guests, and other staff
• Reconciles and provides timely coding of all invoices, payroll, and other required documents
• Additional responsibilities and duties may be added at any time by the General Manager

Candidate Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent, additional education in turfgrass management or related fields is desirable
• Experience in golf course maintenance
• Proficiency in operating and maintenance equipment
• Strong leadership and team management skill, with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, and external stakeholders
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
