Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Hunters Run Country Club is looking for a highly motivated individual with positive leadership skills to join our professional team. Under the supervision of the Head Golf Course Superintendent and Golf Course Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent directs and participates in all aspects of the maintenance and repair of the golf course. He/She also serves in the Superintendents role during their absence.

Duties and Responsibilities include

• Supervision, training, and scheduling of staff
• Implements and enforces a comprehensive safety program for employees
• Delegation of assignments
• Manage employee projects
• Tournament course preparation
• Observe daily playing conditions including mowing quality, green speeds, bunker conditions, course setup and soil moisture.
• Equipment operation and safety training
• Chemical application record keeping
• Irrigation operation, repair, and troubleshooting
• Applying chemicals and fertilizer
• Spray/Fertilizer equipment calibration
• Perform other duties as needed
