Lancaster Country Club is identified as a platinum club of America and serves as a premier 27 hole private facility located in central PA. On a 427 acre property, the championship 18 hole old course was designed by William Flynn and is consistently ranked among the top 10 in the state and currently is within the top 100 classic courses in the United States. The additional Brian Silva designed nine holes known as Highlands is a link style layout used in rotation with one of the nines of the old course on occasion. The club is committed to championship golf at the local, regional, state and national level. The record breaking championship in 2015 remains the most attended Women's Open in history. This accomplishment has led LCC to become the first course in USGA history to play host again within a ten year span as the USWO returns in 2024 during the week of May 27th- June 2nd.
Interns will work closely with the management team to conduct everyday tasks while providing championship conditions on a daily basis. Tasks will include but are not limited to: Daily course setup, water management, pest & disease identification, chemical and fertilizer calibration/application, and weekly turf informational sessions. In addition to the everyday routine work environment; successful hires will have the opportunity to attend Green Committee meetings and gain valuable tournament experience during preparations and hosting the United States Women's Open. Interns will work closely with the Director of Grounds, Golf Course Superintendent and Assistants on all facets of golf course maintenance to better prepare themselves for a successful career in the turf industry.

Applicants must currently be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year Turfgrass Management program. Six and three month internships are available. Previous golf course maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
