Assistant Superintendent - Canyon Course
The Lodge at Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet Club
| This position will manage the day to day operations on the Canyon golf course. Individual will be responsible for hiring, training, annual reviews as well as any disciplinary action when needed. Will be involved with complete nine hole irrigation renovation summer 2024. Toro equipment lease package will renew summer 2024. Toro Lynx irrigation system. This is not your typical "first assistant job" for someone wanting to get started in the industry. Position will require the individual to be organized, detail oriented, ability to multi-task and lead the staff. Ventana Canyon is a 36 hole semi private community with two -18 hole Tom Fazio courses. Membership is currently at 700 members.

Individual should be familiar with all aspects of golf course maintenance including irrigation and chemical applications. Staffing includes irrigation and chemical technicians. Individual should have knowledge to lead these key staff members. Bilingual helpful but not required. Overseeding experience helpful but not required. If the individual has a solid work ethic and a desire to be successful we can teach you the rest. Individual will need to obtain pesticide license within 6 months. |
