Assistant Superintendent

RedHawk Public Golf Course is an 18-hole championship facility overlooking Lake Lowell in Nampa, Idaho. The golf course, opened in July 2014, offers panoramic views of Lake Lowell and the Owyhee Mountains. The Gene Bates, championship designed golf course will challenge players of all skills levels with its smooth fast greens, rolling undulating fairways, and numerous teeing areas. RedHawk also offers a championship practice facility with a full driving range, a new practice putting green, and short game/bunker facilities for all its players and patrons alike.  Recent notable events:  2021 USGA Four Ball Qualifier, 2022 5A High School State Championship, 2022 Idaho Jr. Am, 2023 IGA Four Ball Championship.  Also a yearly host to The Dropping Jr. tournament.

We are looking for an individual with aspirations of becoming a Golf Course Superintendent to join our Agronomy Team at RedHawk Golf Course.  This is a vital position for our Agronomy Team to keep elevating this golf course to the next level.  You will work with and report directly to the GCS & Shop/Equipment Manager.  The ideal candidate will take this opportunity to learn all facets of being a successful Golf Course Superintendent in order to be fully prepared for that next step.

You will get crucial crew management experience and online job board assignment responsibility in coordination with the GCS, which is structured as:  Equipment & Shop manager, Irrigation Tech, Spray Tech, and about 12-15 crew members, full and part time.  You will be involved in all aspects of golf course maintenance including IPM and Agronomic programs on fine turf, contributing with in-house construction & enhancement projects (i.e. building new tee boxes, minor hole renovations regarding aesthetics and playability, bunker restoring, drainage, overseeding plans, etc...), leading crew projects, golf course set up for daily play as well as tournament play, mowing, rolling, verticutting, aerating, spiking, hand-watering and moisture management, irrigation repair and maintenance, product inventory, spray/fertilizer equipment upkeep, record keeping and data collection, and much more!  

RedHawk Golf Course is a privately owned, 18-hole Public, Championship golf course located in beautiful Nampa, Idaho.  With a new GCS starting in July of 2021, we are looking to add to our driven, passionate team in elevating conditions to become one of the premier public golf courses in the state.  We are looking for someone who is also driven and passionate, hard working, and who knows and enjoys the game of golf.  We want an individual who is excited to LEARN and progress within this industry and who is a team player.  We are creating a culture here where we work hard doing whatever is best for the golf course while also having fun in the process!  This is a 40-50 hour per week, year-round position, with some OT required from time to time during the growing season but only on a need-basis.  Salary is $53,000-57,000 BOE.  Can assist with PGA Tour or other tournament volunteer opportunities and is encouraged.
