Lead Assistant Superintendent

Position Description:

The Lead Assistant Superintendent position envelops all assistant responsibilities while working with Golf Course Superintendent to manage day-to-day operations and a team of 30+ employees. The Lead Assistant has the autonomy and responsibility to execute operational initiatives and capital improvements and acts as an interdepartmental liaison for the Agronomy Team with the rest of the club and its members. This opportunity provides training for the eventual progression toward becoming a successful Golf Course Superintendent.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and excel in multi-tasking, organizational and administrative duties, and time management. Work/life balance is highly considered with every other weekend off, individual growth, and opportunities to advance one’s career in the turfgrass industry. This offseason, Huntingdon Valley is installing a new irrigation system, followed by various maintenance and capital improvements over the next several years.
